About me

I am a contemporary landscape artist combining conceptual and traditional approaches in my art practice. Examples of my work are shown in my gallery.

Often working at the boundary of abstraction and figuration, I like to create a detachment from the material world, giving the viewer freedom to respond emotionally to my ambiguous narrative spaces. I hope that the work will reflect the extensive research, my use of materials, and the background social engagement.

I aim to create work that weaves together threads of concern for the fragile uncertainty of life, the importance of place and the environment.

Work that is more than the simple pleasure of looking.

I am a member of The Oxford Art Society, a member of the xvi group of artists, and a graduate of the Falmouth School of Art (MA Fine Art Contemporary Practice 2012).
